I grew up in a small town in the Lower Rio Grande Valley in an art loving family. No one in the family was an artist, but we greatly appreciated and enjoyed what others created. After graduating with a BA degree, I taught both English and French in high school for eight years. My husband and I then owned and operated for years our very successful real estate brokerage office. What fun it was to work with people and help them find a home they really liked!  Making a sale was a thrill!
After about ten years I took a break to be at home for a couple of years with my three daughters. I then spent the majority of my professional years as a financial planner and stock broker with American Express. That involved selling the idea of planning and success as well as dealing with individual portfolios. It was a wonderful and rewarding career.  Now to sell beautiful art in this amazing gallery with such talented artists is a thrill of a different sort.  I love it!
